Neil founded Model Consulting, Inc. in 1990 after serving nearly 15 years as vice president and a shareholder for the MidAmerica Group of Pennsylvania and the Bear Stearns Benefit Planning Group.
As president of the company, his skillful leadership has been critical to Model’s rapid development. Under his guidance, Model has won numerous awards from the Philadelphia Business Journal and the Better Business Bureau of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
During his three decades in the healthcare field, Neil has relied on his expertise, industry insight, and vast network resources to deliver creative, competitive, and customized employee benefits plans for small and large businesses. By doing so, he has helped clients serve the growing and changing needs of their employees.
Due to Model’s success and his extensive experience, Neil has spoken on behalf of industry groups and participated on national expert panels, often focusing on the current healthcare climate and its impact on businesses. He’s known as a valued source of information about topics such as the benefits industry, the necessity of having a credible partnership between employer and consultant, and the importance of using communication and service to build successful business relationships.
Neil also frequently talks about consumer-driven health care options for companies of all sizes, often in conjunction with WellNow, his health risk management company.
Despite his busy professional schedule, Neil makes charity work a priority. As the former chairman of the Lower Bucks County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Neil received its highest volunteer award for his unwavering commitment to volunteerism and deep compassion for the delivery of critical human services in the community. He also was honored with the Philadelphia Chapter Supporter of the Year Award in recognition of his strong local efforts with the Organization for Rehabilitation through Training (ORT) America.
Neil currently is a member of the National Executive Board of ORT America, and serves as Vice Chair of the Board of The Abramson Center for Jewish Life.
He combines his passion for charity work with his devotion to fitness by participating annually in bike races that raise money for multiple sclerosis (MS) and cancer prevention and awareness. He can also often be found boxing or spinning at the gym.
Neil and his wife of 37 years enjoy the company of their two daughters, son-in-laws, and grandchildren.
