Neal Pollack

Neal joined Model Consulting, Inc. in February 2005 and is well versed in finance, risk management, healthcare and pharmaceutical management. Prior to joining Model Consulting, Inc., Neal spent six years working in New York City in the financial markets, working both in equity and fixed income markets, finishing his career as a fixed income trader and electronic trading specialist.

Since joining Model Consulting, Inc., Neal has been instrumental in growing their pharmacy and health risk management practices, as well as their core employee benefits practice. He was the lead consultant on a pharmacy Contract Compliance Audit for the 17 th largest employer in the United States. During this audit various components of the client’s drug plan and paid claims were reviewed, including: Generic/Brand Utilization; Retail/Mail/Specialty Utilization; Discount Analysis; Co-Pays & Dispensing Fees; Refill Analysis and Plan Design Analysis.

Neal also worked as a consultant on a feasibility and risk management study for the implementation of a Consumer Driven Health Plan for a 3,000 employee company, spread across seven states. With this, various factors were addressed, including: Plan Design & Modeling; Network Accessibility; Plan Decrements; Pricing Illustrations; and Final Recommendations.

Working in public and private sectors Neal has experience working with both middle and large market clients. His experience crosses many industries including: healthcare, not for profit, private equity & venture capital firms, manufacturing, governmental & public service and legal & finance. Meshing the employee benefits and health risk management programs for a cohesive platform has allowed Neal and his clients to achieve a true understanding of their cost drivers and provide a solid ROI for the programs set forth.

Being an executive within Model’s sister health risk management company, WellNow, has allowed Neal to further grow his knowledge and application of true risk management related to healthcare. This includes working in various industries within public and private sectors and leveraging technology as a way to monitor the true ROI of our programs. Neal has sat as both a member and moderator of various roundtables and discussions on managing risk in healthcare.

Neal attended both the University of Pittsburgh and The College of New Jersey. He has an MBA in Finance and is also a Registered Investment Advisor. Neal is actively involved in the community, providing assistance to charitable organizations with planned giving, fundraising and event planning. He actively sits as a proud member of Men’s Cabinet; Federation Renaissance Group; BARC Young Professionals Group; Friendship Circle and is proud of the work he has done with the Philadelphia Police Department Survivor’s Fund.

When not working on behalf of his clients, Neal spends his time with his wife of 8 years and their two boys, ages 5 and 2. Neal is also a competitive Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu who loves teaching Jiu Jitsu, Judo and wrestling to children.
