Tracy Duffield
Tracy began her employee benefits career in 1987 at The Johnson Companies while working toward her degree at Temple University. She was regularly promoted during her seven-year tenure, developing expertise in the areas of eligibility, underwriting, marketing and overall account management. Her career at The Johnson Companies enabled her to not only develop these skills, but also to gain valuable insight into the reinsurance industry, summary plan description preparation, and report analysis.
In October 1993, Tracy accepted an account management position at MetLife’s Philadelphia sales office. She managed the benefits of 1,000 + life employers who insured or self-insured their medical, dental, life, Group Universal Life and disability benefits through MetLife.
Tracy joined Model Consulting, Inc. in 1994 to manage their 100+ life accounts. Her primary responsibilities initially included: competitive marketing analysis, strategic benefit planning and consulting, plan design modeling, financial cost analysis, open enrollment coordination and deployment, regulatory/compliance assistance, servicing, and Cafeteria Plan administration. Tracy was promoted to Director of Group Operations in 1997 to manage Model’s marketing department, key accounts department, and small business unit. In 2005 she was promoted once again to Vice President. As Vice President and a member of the Model Executive Team, she currently manages approximately one half of the entire Model organization including the Underwriting, Service, and Account Management departments.
Tracy has been an integral part of the successful growth of Model. Her noteworthy achievements include organizational development, established ongoing employee training initiatives on current industry and management related topics, new product development, vendor relationship management, preparation and deployment of Model’s weekly and monthly newsletters as well as the company website, and the implementation of the organization’s database system. Lastly, she works hand-in-hand with the sales department to evaluate opportunities that enhance the services they provide for their clients.
Tracy has held her license in the state of Pennsylvania for Accident, Health, Life and Fixed Annuities for 10+ years. She is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and is completing requirements to become a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). Tracy actively participates in the Penjerdel Employee Benefits & Compensation Association (PEBA). She co-chaired PEBA’s Annual Forum for several years. Due to her commitment and success during her tenure as co-chair, PEBA elected her to serve on their Board of Directors.
Tracy resides in Conshohocken PA and enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and pets. She is committed to fitness and active sports. She participates in numerous worthwhile charities including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Montgomery County, the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, the Humane Society, and the Special Olympics.
